With practice sessions starting Thursday and Friday, and qualifying and race day on Saturday, Rutherford is eager to make his mark at what he considers his home track. Sponsored by Albany Auto Auction, the 26-year-old brings extensive experience at Cordele, pairing his local knowledge with the powerhouse support of FHR and legendary racer Bubba Pollard as his driver coach.

“I feel like as a whole, with FHR and Bubba, there is always an expectation to win, and we have something to prove,” Rutherford shared. “I’m looking forward to working with Bubba and FHR because they’re hard-working people who go to the track with one thing in mind: to win!”

Pollard, a recent addition to FHR’s driver development program, spoke highly of Rutherford’s potential heading into the weekend. “Blaise is a good young man and a good driver,” said Pollard. “He’s determined and has the drive to succeed. Cordele is a home track for him, and he’s got many laps around here. That, in addition to what we have going on here as a team I think is recipe for success this weekend.”

FatHead Racing’s presence at Speedfest underscores their ongoing commitment to fostering talented drivers and helping them excel at marquee events. Owner Jamie Yelton emphasized the team’s focus on preparation and execution. “Our team’s goal is always to put drivers in the best position to succeed, and Blaise embodies the work ethic and determination we look for. We’re excited to see what he can do at Speedfest.”

The Speedfest 100 Pro Late Model event is one of the most anticipated races of the season, drawing top-tier talent and passionate fans from across the region. As practice kicks off on Thursday, all eyes will be on Rutherford as he works to deliver a standout performance at his home track.
