Last Saturday's World Crown 300 marked the return of the crown jewel event to the Super Late Model racing landscape. Already, preparations are being made for the 2025 edition of the race at Cordele Motor Speedway

Shortly following the conclusion of SpeedFest this January, Greg and Lori Noland were introduced as the new owners of Cordele Motor Speedway, and Ricky Brooks was named the facility's general manager.

Throughout the year, the Nolands have worked to improve Cordele Motor Speedway, and the World Crown 300 was the first opportunity for many to see those updates and changes.

Just as importantly, after more than a decade away, the World Crown is back and drew a field of more than 30 racers from across the country to battle for $35,000.

From 1983 to 2014, the World Crown 300 drew top racers to Georgia to battle in the marquee race. While the venue is new, the attraction was just as real for the World Crown's return as drivers from California, Wisconsin, Maine and more traveled to Cordele.

"This event, I worked at Peach State and Gresham," Brooks told Racing America. "The race meant a lot to me, as well. It was really good to bring it back in the success that we did, and bring it back to Georgia."

Plans are already in place for the World Crown 300 to return in 2025, as part of Cordele's new "Super Fest" series of Late Model races. While next year's World Crown will also pay $35,000, a driver could win up to $75,000 with bonuses from competing in the first four Super Fest events next year.

"I know it's coming back next year," said Brooks. "That's the plan. The weekend went exceptionally well, in my opinion. It has room to grow from here."

Brooks views the first World Crown 300 since 2014 as a success. However, as early as Saturday night he was already receiving feedback from fellow officials and racers to make next year's event even better.

"Amongst us officials and competitors, we want to listen to them, too," said Brooks. "I have a list of things we can make modifications to make things roll a little bit better next year. It wasn't really complaints, they were just giving us input. That's what we need."

More information regarding Super Fest 2025 at Cordele, including the 33rd World Crown 300, will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to cordelemotorspeedway.com or facebook.com/cordelemotorspeedway for updates as they become available regarding the 2025 season at Cordele Motor Speedway.
