Luke Fenhaus, who made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut for ThorSport Racing in the No. 66 Ford F-150 earlier this season at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, will officially add two more events to his schedule this season with the team.

On Wednesday, ThorSport Racing confirmed that the 20-year-old short track standout will return for the upcoming races at Pocono Raceway on July 12 and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on August 11. Fenhaus will once again pilot the No. 66 Ford F-150 with primary sponsorship from Soda Sense.

“Excited to reunite with the No. 66 team at ThorSport Racing for Pocono and race in the TSPORT 200 at IRP," Fenhaus stated in a press release. "I’m looking forward to partnering with Soda Sense, Dunrite Exteriors, and ICS on our Ford Performance F-150 at the CRC Brakleen 175. I’m always eager to keep learning and improving. Looking to achieve a top-ten finish at Pocono and IRP."

While the 0.686-mile Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park short track is more in Fenhaus' wheelhouse, it'll be interesting to see how he also competes in the race at Pocono Raceway, a 2.5-mile technical triangular race track.

In his NASCAR Truck debut at Gateway in June, Fenhaus started the race from 27th, and rallied from an early-race spin to finish 10th. The native of Wausau, Wisconsin, who won the 2021 Slinger Nationals, will look to record solid finishes in his next two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts.

While he awaits his next NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start, Fenhaus will attempt to secure his second career win in the Slinger Nationals. Fenhaus was among the 29 drivers on the entry list for the 45th Annual Slinger Nationals which was revealed on July 2.

Other notable names on the Slinger Nationals entry list include former NASCAR Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter, Ty Majeski, Ryan Preece who will make his Slinger Nationals debut, and five-time winner Lowell Bennett and four-time champion Rich Bickle.

The Slinger Nationals is set for Tuesday, July 9, and will be available as a pay-per-view event on RacingAmerica.TV.
