The Northeast Sportsman Modifieds return to Lake View Motor Speedway on February 1-2 for the I-95 Cash Money South of the Border Showdown. Fans can watch Sunday's racing live on RacingAmerica.TV.

This year marks the 4th South of the Border Showdown at Lake View. The event invites Sportsman Modified competitors from the Northeast to enjoy some warmer weather and get an early start to their racing season.

Heat racing begins at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, with feature racing to follow. Along with the Northeast Sportsman Modifieds, there will also be racing action from the Carolina Sprint Tour, Late Models and Crown Vics.

The South of the Border Showdown began as a multi-day racing event. After a year off in 2023, the event returned in 2024 with one day of racing, the same format being used this year. Andrew Buff is a two-time race winner during the South of the Border Showdown, with other past winners including Nick Guerreri, Zach Sobotka and Brian Calabrese.

Teams have the opportunity to practice on Saturday, February 1 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. A pit party, including barbecue and a bonfire, starts at 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

For those attending the event in-person, grandstand gates open at Noon on Sunday.
