Garrett Mitchell, better known as YouTube sensation "Cleetus McFarland," confirmed his plans to enter the ARCA Menards Series event at Talladega Superspeedway on April 26 while appearing on this week's episode of "The Dale Jr. Download."
During his interview with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on the podcast, Mitchell affirmed his plans to run the event at Talladega.
(Mitchell's discussion of the ARCA Talladega event begins at 45:13)
“I’m going to ‘Dega," said Mitchell. "We’re going to build some content around it on the YouTube channel that will cover it."
Mitchell made his ARCA Menards Series debut in the No. 30 for Rette Jones Racing on Saturday, February 15, finishing 30th after a multi-car incident exiting the second turn at Daytona International Speedway.
While Mitchell didn't express any further plans to compete in the ARCA Menards Series, he admitted he has caught the "bug" for racing and left the door open for other races.
“I’ve got the bug bad. I’m fired up to go superspeedway racing. That’s badass. That might scratch my itch, or I might do good at Talladega and say screw it, I’m running the season.”
The General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway will air live on FS1 at 12:30 pm EST on Saturday, April 26.
